Talent Acquisition
and Employee Engagement

The most qualified potential employees/team members have a strong vision and belief in community involvement and ask pointed questions about the social responsibility and community involvement of their potential employer. Companies that are socially responsible and strong advocates of community involvement have higher levels of engagement than companies that are not actively supporting their communities. – Demonstrating social responsibility in the community is a key driver of employee engagement. Companies that are strong advocates of community involvement and are socially responsible have higher levels of employee engagement than companies that are not actively supporting their communities.

Engaged employees are critical to the health and well-being of any company. Engaged employees will go the extra mile to ensure that your company keeps winning.  This is achieved through an emotional connection to your company. Checkbook philanthropy approach provides no opportunity for employees to be engaged in the program outside of making a donation and leads to a lack of sustained engagement companywide and a lack of employee loyalty/commitment to the success of the company.

Creating an employee ambassadors group provides employees with hands-on roles in supporting the company’s good works. Employee Ambassador Groups can be the internal leaders for involvement efforts; the level of involvement is determined by each company’s leadership and the internal committees that are formed for these activities. Other benefits include PR and Publicity efforts; end of year reporting and inclusion in annual reports; board presentations; opportunities for continuous learning for all involved; and, presentations in tandem with the specific community and civic organizations that the company has partnered with – all producing win/win results.
